Just purchased new rear tires 265 35 R19 Bridgestone Pole Position which were rated good on Tirerack and left Contenental ContiSport tires on front with approx 10k mile left on them.

The car is a very different car especially at highway speeds. Feels like it catches grooves with any lane change and any uneven pavement at all. It is wobbly and is almost dangerous feeling. Is it the tire brand? Or the fact that I have different brands on front and back?

Any ideas or suggestions is appreciated.

Thx, Scott

If it's truly "wobbly" feeling I really doubt it has something to do with the brand of tire. I would confirm that the wheels were balanced (correctly) and also - it sounds bad, but make sure the wheels are actually tightened and torqued and are not just hand tight. Depending on where you took it, it isn't unheard of to forget to tighten the wheels. Good luck..

Release mold on new tires will wear off.

New tread blocks are tall and prone to squirm more so than on a used tire

+1

Also make sure the pressure is correct. Low pressure will exacerbate the issue.
