Alrighty in need of assistance as i am a little stranded.

Was driving from florida to NY and about 600 miles into trip the amber engine temp light came on, i thought well this is weird maybe its got a little air bubble, so i let it go and it went away after 4 seconds. About 60 miles later it came on, went red and the power was cut. This lasted 10 seconds then went away i pulled into a truck stop and checked the system. The radiator had a crack and was leaking coolant. I used JB weld to repair then got back on my way. I was about 100 miles when its cracked all the way and broke. So i drifted into a rest stop, called and got a radiator. After changing the radiator and bleeding the system i left.

I drove the car 300 miles not a single problem or issue, but when i drive at 75 or higher for 20 mins the amber light comes on, as soon as i slow down to under 75 it goes away. What else could it be? Any help would be good since i am stuck and need to get underway again.

Also the fan tends to spin full speed then slow then full then slow. Thinking water pump, anyone else?

I would say based on the temp difference you're seeing between speeds and the varying fan, I'd lean more on thermostat. Might not be metering properly and causing the behavior you're seeing, and might need replacing since the radiator crack and replacement. Just my 2 cents. :)

Also, meant to ask: Are you hearing a whistling or whining from your water pump? Is it weeping? (leaking or shooting beads of water off while the car is running)

If you over heat that engine you may do serious damage. You are going to want a water pump, thermostat, a gallon of coolant, and 3 new water pump bolts. This is about $500 worth of parts.

Then you will need a new radiator.

And if you keep driving it, you might need a new head gasket or new head if you warp it.

Lets hope you did not damage the head.

Go to www.ecstuning.com

They will have all the parts you need. Look the hoses over carefully to see if they have bulges or cracks.
