I have a problem where my engine will run funny after it has been raining real hard. When I go to drive it and give it close to full thorttle, it feels like I'm driving a car with an intermitent turbo on it. Eventually the problem goes away after driving for a little bit.

The other day it was so bad the car would turn over but not start.

The reason I belive it happens after rain/humid weather is becuase my friends porche acted the same way after he washed his engine bay.

Any ideas what the problem is?

How old are your spark plug wires? I have read this the other day...

Same thing happened to me, my car would start to hesitate in wet weather and had trouble starting. Had my mechanic/friend come out and help me fix the problem, we tested the spark plugs and had spark, pulled the fuel line and no fuel was coming out when we cranked it. It ended up being a loose connection on the fuel pump under the seat (connection was under the rear seat. Our guess was that enough humidity was getting on the connections to keep it from working properly.
This was on a '88 325.
