transmission fluid picture

I have a 2011 BMW 328 sedan with 37,200 miles and the GM 6AL45 transmission. I decided to have the automatic transmission fluid changed at an independent shop and they got me a sample of the oil. I was surprised how dirty the fluid looked. The new fluid has improved the shift quality of the transmission, it is a lot smoother! Not that the shift was harsh before but I can definitely tell a difference.

Did you post a picture? Didn't show if you did. Transmission fluid gets contaminated quickly with steels and clutch material suspended in the fluid itself. Pretty normal but changing the fluid is always a good idea....
