I'm considering having my Style 32's for my Z3 Coupe refinished in Shadow Chrome (the same color wheels that the 2001-2002 M Roadsters/Coupes had on their Roadstars). The clearcoat is starting to peel and I'll be taking them off for winter anyway, so I figured this would be a good time.

How would I go about getting this done? What kind of a shop would do it? How would I specify the finish? I'm a complete NOOB when it comes to wheels, so any help is appreciated :)

(ignore the brake dust)

What I want the wheels to look like:

Are you asking so you can do it yourself? It sounds like you are bringing them to a shop.

All you would need to do is bring a few pictures of the finish you want and ask if they can match it. Bring the wheels to any paint shop and just ask them to prep and paint them.

Beforehand you should have the tires removed for best results. You can paint wheels with tires still mounted but then you have to tape them off and tape off the valve stem and wheel weights as well.

Any good paint shops in your area will be able to do this no problem.

Thanks, that's the information I was hoping to hear. Any idea what the ballpark cost should be for something like this?
