Why do all the parts suppliers offer aluminum and steel control arms? I would assume you wand the lower weight of aluminum.

Am I missing something here?:help

Ignore the E36 that I no longer have. I am referring to my 1990 535i.

Ok, wow just a few days ago. It didn't really explain what the difference is or why they have both available. Did they change to aluminum halfway through production or something? The price is almost the same. I assumed it was Aluminum on the M5 and steel on the normal cars.
