I've been looking into a lowering my e34 for a really good price without sacrificing the suspension and keep a tight smooth ride. I've been reading up on lowering springs and coilovers for a while and know my fair share Hahaha but I just wanted to know if anybody has or has had jom Blueline coilovers on their setup before. How'd you like them? And are they worth all of the $500 to buy them? Lol I'd like to know cause I'm stuck between 300 for solid reliable lowering springs or 1000 legit coilovers. Appreciate the help thanks.

alike TAtechnix, if you use themhardly they will blow... most of the time the front ones. I got TA technix at the back and bilstein and the front which had given me nice results... I would save the pain inthe ass and get some nice shocks for the front cause they will surely blow

Trust me on this.
I've been down this road. On many cars and my e34 especially.
My e34 suspension evolution looks like this.
1) stock - (how i got it)
2) cut springs (stupid/don't)
3) Bav Auto lowering springs (great all the way around)
4) K sport coilovers 750~$ ( huge upgrade in handling! Some ride comfort lost, super flat chassis)
5) added poly sub frame bushings. (Great!!!!)
6) added Eibach larger adjustable sway bars(mehhh, ok)
so as a true daily driver, usable normal car. Lowering springs all day... Sat well, rode great, handled terrific. No compromises like how it should have been factory IMO..
But if you are like me, and really race & push the car hard often. Then like me, go all out.
But either way, no matter what. What my months of research taught me is... "Avoid JOM!"

There lowering springs bro...
what do you expect? Coil over type changes!? People have a hard enough time getting low even on coilovers So considering, they sit pretty darn good. And like i said, "it is as if its how it should have came factory."
so obviously its a bit conservative, it can still get over bumps easy... In the middle all the way around. So Good road or bad its fine.
my stance on springs. Not bad

okay appreciate the help and tip. yeah im probably just going to wait and save up for k sports or d2 coilovers. i dont want to get springs now and then be dissatified with maybe wanting to go lower in the future. hahaha less hassel.

I still recommend springs if you are happy with the stance i had. There pretty cheap can be found used. There easy to install and you will get most of your money back at the end since they don't wear out.
Good Coil overs all require cutting and welding the struts and is not as easily reversible. Plus cost and harsh ride.

Vogland i believe. What ever i had in that pic.
That pic was taken eye level to show the gap. Not hide it fyi. ( for a thread i did on lowering your e34)

thank you! is it vogtland*?
The cutting and welding of housings isn't bad in any way. Search for the nex coilover thread and you will find all the information you will need.
I bought the Turner H&R and Billy Sport package and within six months had bought coilovers. Springs don't cut it.
Do it right the first time.

Yeah that... If you look at the begining of my build thread. There should be before & after pics.

I've been considering the exact same.. since my suspension is on it's way out, I figured now is the prime time to decide between springs and coils.
What wheel/tire size were you running in that picture?
It looks more like what I'm aiming for, not looking to be scraping leaves.

You say that like spending a $1000 for your daily just to achieve a look is the only right answer, not everyone can spend $1k, bet you didn't know that did you?
The truth is springs and shocks work pretty well especially for a non race car. Some people actually race on springs and shocks.

I ultimately want 17-18" staggered deep dish ACS type 1's. (m540fella got it spot on!)
How ever in the word of affordability i wanted gold 18" BBS LM's. I ended up with a free NEW set of 19" BBS LMR's in gold.
After a year, on CL a pair of gold 19" LM's popped up and being the color and style i wanted and liking the 19" i had i went for it. And don't regret it either.. Good for car shows doesnt seem to slow me down.
Let people expect another bimmer on rims.. I like being an underdog.

Good springs and shock do the job just fine for e34s with way more power than most of any of us are making.. I did all sorts of things on them. Unless your a bit of an extremist (like myself) they are quiet unnessisary.

Is everything in your life turned up to 11 or is it just the e34?

It's certainly not the spelling and grammar skills.

Or NOT worth doing at all.

I have been on Jom blueline "coilovers" for the last year and have no complaints besides not being able to absolutely slam my car. They are a little on the soft side but they were also 500 dollars and a direct bolt in. They are not as terrible as everyone says. HOWEVER, if I could go back I would save the money for better coils because I would love to have a stiffer, lower ride.

Ehhh ohhh when you are an adult and have adult financial responsibilities you may speak, until then go back to playing war in the bushes of upstate NY..
I wouldn't bother putting coil overs on my e34 regardless of how nice it is, there is no financial sense there TBH, I'd rather spend the money putting them on the Mustang.
Oh and Olive Garden is for rubes that don't have a clue about quality italian food, my local pizzerias make better food than that place.
