Hey guys my name is Geovanni. I'm new to the site and new to bmw's in general. Im decent with vehicles though so most work I can do myself. Im sorry if this question has been answered elsewhere on here but I havent found it yet. In my 1993 525i there is a squeak under the dash ( seems to be coming from the center), I have both heat and a/c from what I remember the noise only happens when the blower is on, so Im assuming it is the blower motor. Anyone have any thoughts on this? If it is the blower motor are there any DIY's or pdf's on pulling it? Thanks you guys:help

Most likely it's the blower motor. Pull the Fuse for now. Otherwise, it might spiral into a burnt down E34. 8 out of 10 E34s I see in the JY have fuse slot 19 burnt up. You DON'T want that. This should help you

Checked the fuse box and the 19 fuse isn't in there. The squeak is audible outside and only happens when the heat is on. It still blows heat with no blower motor fuse.

Well, something is messed up. Your blower motor should not be operating without a fuse in the Blower Motor circuit. What's the point of the fuse if it runs without it? sounds like you have some investigating to do. Is Slot 19 burnt at all? If so, there might be a "repair" underneath the fuse box.

Sorry guys I lied about the fuse. I checked again and yes its there. It was an old fuse and I thought it was just an empty slot.

It happens. Still if you are hearing a squeak only when you select the fan, then it probably is the motor.
