35d Winter Tires

I am looking to buy winter tires and rims for my 2011 35d, Factory wheels are 255/50/r19

I am thinking of going little smaller like 255/55/r18

I saw an add for rims with following,

"bolt pattern is 5x120 and Offset is 38MMR"

Just wondering will these rims fit my X5? Any advice greatly appreciated.

The specs alone are not going to tell you if they are going to fit your X5. The bolt pattern is correct and the offset is good. You need the center bore of the wheels and the width. I have plenty of tires in the size that will work in the 255/55R18.
