Well my 1992 525i e34 is officially for sale as is
Would rather not part out because I don't have the room for it

Info: Got t-boned 3 weeks ago, whole driver door is crushed, dash is shifted, driver rocker panel is bent, front left fender damaged, windshield cracked, driver rear door doesn't fully shut.

1992 525i automatic m50b25 non vanos
whole car has 83k original miles on it
I'm the 2nd owner and the original owner garage kept it for the first 62k miles
nothing wrong with it mechanically
comes with extra guibo if wanted since I've heard they go through them
Had euro trim on front/rear bumpers but sold so no bumper trim
Gas gauge/speedo/tach do not work
passenger front strut mount is broken
Car has JOM Blue line coilovers installed, will come with stock suspension (not installed) upon request with 12k miles on them
Sitting on stock BottleCaps (not style 5s shown in photos)
Does run/drive with a jump. Driver door doesn't close currently held shut with some wire ties
No rust aside from whatever's been accumulating within the last 3 weeks near the driver door
Daily driven with no issues, has made trips from NJ to NH and MD.

Located in Northern New Jersey, 07405

Price is obviously negotiable but I need another car since this is my only one so really not looking to budge on the price.

Perfect swap motor taken care of meticulously by myself and previous owner

Let me know if you have any interests/questions/photo requests/anything!

sucks man, but you are going to VERY hard pressed to get that number from a totaled e34.

If you needed the money I would suggest you part it, that's the only way you will come close to the 2k number.

Hope the best man.

Yeah, $2k is a lot to ask for, unfortunately. Did you take the insurance payout and buy the car back for salvage value?

Part the car out and you'll likely get more than $2k. If the door panels and driver's-side fog lamp are in good or better shape, hit me up because they can live on in my 1991 525i.

Agreed. Put some pics up! Maybe you will have a wait list before even taking the car apart :)

$2k isn't even in the ball park. Try $500

I literally can't part it out I don't have the space or means to do it. I can't buy it back from insurance cause I didn't have collision and they said it was "no ones fault" with the accident. Getting no money for it at all. Yeah body parts I can take off but not gonna be able to rip the motor out and have it waiting for someone to scoop ya know? If someone wants the motor they can pay me for the car and take it out then junk the rest. $2k was just for attention I know I'm not gonna get all that for it but $500 I'd rather keep the car as a lawn ornament

Also, I have literally everything except bumper trim right now so if you need/want something they're more than likely gonna be in great to near-perfect condition. Let me know what you want.

Not 100% sure on if it's totaled because the frame might not be bent. From what I've been told if the rocker panel is bent then so is the frame. Also if they dashboard is shifted it's totaled. So input on that would be great too. Don't mean to come off as a douche bag sorry if anyone gets that vibe just heartbroken over the fact I have to get rid of her at only 83k miles

You can't bend the frame on an E34, on account of it not having one. With the value they have now, bumping into a pile of pillows would total it. Unless it was extremely cherry before the accident, no one is going to bother to fix it.

Too bad man. From your other pics of it, it looked like a very nice car.

can I have the last 7 digits of the VIN # so I can possibly match a few parts on realoem?

I was told that if the rocker panel and dash board are caved in/shifted that it's not worth fixing. Any truth to that? I mean in all honesty a couple body shops said the repairs are worth more than the car, so I'm not looking to keep it and fix up.

I wouldn't fix it. you might be able to pull the jam out and throw a door and panel on it and drive it for cheap until you can afford something else, but fixing it fixing it wouldn't be worth it. 525's are a dime a dozen.
