I'm currently running summer tires on my DD, and it's just a few weeks out from when I'd normally switch to winter rubber. Unfortunately, those wheels are currently in storage out of state and I probably won't be able to retrieve them until Dec/Jan. Bad planning, I know.
The only other viable set of tires I currently have at my disposal are the OE "All-Season" Conti RFTs that I pulled off my old Clubman at about 1k miles. DOT code is 4007, and I only ran them for about a month before I realized the convenience was not worth the sacrifice in drivability. They've been in indoor storage the whole time. Would it be unwise to to try to run these for a few months? On some level I feel that RFTs might be a little more impervious to the risks associated with age, but maybe I have that backwards. I'd appreciate your thoughts if you have better information.
