So I have a 07 328i, with almost 90k. I've replaced practically everything on the car. I'm worried more things will break with the high mileage. I also have a 08 mustang gt -4.6L V8. It's a 14 to 13.8 second car in the 1/4 mile.

Anyways, I'm thinking of upgrading to a 335i, since it's slightly faster than my mustang and identical to my 328i, which I like, just not having to replace a new part every month. No warranty.

I don't have a family or kids, but do need the car to haul stuff occasionally.

Would it be a good idea to trade both of my cars for an 11 335i? Or should I get another brands car like MB E350, Audi, etc.

Or should I keep bmw and trade mustang for a 08+ vette or 10 M3 or Cts-v?

I'm about to roll over 150,000 miles and the only things I've had replaced since owning the car are the battery, filters and fluids, plugs, AC Blower motor, oil pan gasket, valve cover gasket, belt tensioner, and oil filter housing gasket. Besides oil changes, brakes and tires, I've had no break downs or anything of the sort. Don't be scared of high mileage. It's not as intimidating as it sounds. Driven the car from Florida cross country and back twice and it's been great. Just keep up with everything and you should be fine. The 335i will have more frequent and costly maintenance than your 328i.

You're lucky. So far I've replaced: rear window regulator, washer fluid pump, thermostat, vcg, starter, battery, key fob, oil vapor hose, brakes, tires, wiper blades.

and just recently my driver door lock actuator broke- another $115 part, $250 at dealer. Plus I need an alignment and to fix my cup holder.

i did crunch some numbers though and getting $8k for my trade, I would have to put down $17k on a used 11 335i, plus $1,190 sales tax and higher insurance and more gas. I'm torn on what to do now.

thats all... please...keep the 328i... order the cupholder and install it yourself not hard at all you need a #2flat head screw driver and a #2 phillips head... find an indy shop to do alignment adjust rear toe and camber and front toe only leave front camber alone dont worry about caster... and stay away from bmw of sarasota

VCG, brakes, tires, wiperblades and even thermostat are basic maintenance... For any car...

I think your looking for a car that doesn't exist. A perfect one. If you want a 335i, go buy one! Lol it better have warrenty though because your asking for more problems than the 328i can possibly have.
