Can't seem to find many, and when I do they're $100+. I need the whole thing not just the face, I also need the harness in the back. Any help is much appreciated. If there are any alternatives (aftermarket) that for sure work and fit that could help too, an aux cord plug would be nice if you do link me to one.

Any single DIN head unit will work.

If you buy an aftermarket headunit I highly recommend the BMW adapter harness. Makes it a lot easier.

Agree'd. The adapter harness makes life a lot easier down the road but you will most likely need the radio antenna adapter as well. Picked up my stuff @ best buy

I updated to a CD-43. Plugs right in and it's ready to go and looks great.

$40 + shipping and it's yours. Came out of my 95 530.

You are welcome to have the one pictured here in this photo. It is a 1995 525i with premium package. Everything works. $50 plus shipping.
Sorry looks like demetk beat me to the punch :)

LOL. If it was me I'd go with cochise325's setup. I saw it and it was pristine.

My tape adapter killed the cassette player and I wanted something from this century but didn't want to pay much.
I bought inexpensive Boss unit from sonic electronix, came with all the adapters I need and only paid $35 including shipping. Has aux input, usb and SD card slots. Installed it one day after work, loaded up my SD card with some music and it works fine so far.
Even the ones with bluetooth start at $55, so it's a good inexpensive units for an old 20 year old car.

Have you tried Crutchfields? (http://www.crutchfield.com/car/carselector.aspx?lp=%2fCar%2foutfitmycar%2fcar.asp x) Just feed your car in through their car selector and they'll show you what's available for your car in all price ranges.. and when they sell you radio they include adapter plugs and detailed instructions..
