Hi,
I recently had new tires put on. I had also recently inspected my rims for curb rash, and there was none.
Can anyone confirm that this damage to my rims was likely caused by the tire machine, or the pry bar?

Definitely not from a tire shop. Well at least their tools it's not.
That's absolutely curb rash/damage. That's not from a bead brake shovel or pry bar or anything.
My guess is you overlooked it.

If they damaged it, it would likely be scratched in a circular fashion around the lip. That looks like road damage

^What?
I can't tell if you are trying to be a smartass or not. I worked in a tire shop for about 4 years of my life through college. Of course there were mistakes made. I have scratched a few myself. Between the different machines and tools around the shop it is very easy to accidentally scratch a wheel.
That being said this is definitely curb rash. This damage in his pictures is not from an impact gun, not from a bead brake shovel, not from the mounter or tire iron, and not from a balancer.
I am 100% confident in saying that the damage on the wheels were not caused by the tire shop unless one of them curbed a wheel while parking the car after finishing their work.

Didn't you inspect the rims and tires BEFORE you left the tire shop??? You were the one who was suppossed to confirm any damage before you paid and left the shop - not us after the fact.
