Does anyone have a wiring diagram for the clutch pedal position sensor? I want to bypass the circuit that requires the clutch pedal to be pushed in for starting (only for diagnostic purposes). My sensor has 4 wires and I haven't found a wiring diagram yet so I'm not sure which two wires should be jumpered.

I found an old post about this on another forum but the photo links showing which wires to jumper are no longer working. Apparently there are separate wires for the circuits that sense whether the pedal is pushed in all the way for starting, or if it's only in partially.

I assume there are wiring diagrams in the Bentley manual showing this but I haven't picked one up yet. Just bought this car a week ago and it's not starting. Probably the starter but I was hoping to bypass the clutch position sensor just to rule that out since it would be pretty easy (if I knew what to jumper).

This is for a 2006 330i. Thanks for any help.

I can tell you that assuming your battery is fine, it's your starter. N52 starters are notorious for failing.

Yup you are right. Thanks for the reply. Never mind about the whole clutch position sensor thing.

I was able to tap on the starter via a metal rod and the car started fine, and has several times since then. So at least now I know it's definitely the starter.

Now I just need to replace it before it fails again. Thinking about doing it myself but it's going to be a challenge for me to fit that project in right away.
