Does it click or anything? Or not even try to start?
First thing to try with any odd electrical issues is to disconnect the battery for 15 minutes+.
Sounds like loss of DME-EWS sync but that usually only happens when the battery dies with the key in the car.

Should still turn over unless it lost key/EWS sync, right?

Yep, or bad battery, or dead starter, or dead starter relay.

When you say it doesn't turn over, do you mean you turn the key and literally nothing happens at all? Or that it cranks but won't 'turn over' ie; fire up. I was thinking that if it's cranking but that's it, then perhaps the fuel pump died - they always seem to fail right after you fill the tank. Funny that...

Could be many things. You just need to start digging. The start relay is under the modules in the ebox. This is under the hood near the passenger side firewall. I would remove the top and look under the module to make sure there is no water there. Have someone turn the key to see if the start relay is clicking.

Could be as simple as a bad battery. Do you have another key to try? Tried starting in Neutral?

This OFTEN turns out to be a dying battery. The auto parts stores in the states test them for free.

To expand upon the "start in neutral"... is your current gear (P or N) illuminated in the cluster with the key on?

The 50A would be Fuse 78 and has to do with your aux fan. I got your private message but have been out for the evening. Any progress?

It is important to read the text under the picture, "in electronics box under control units".
To get to the relays you need to remove the 3 computer boxes.
Then plug them back in in such a way that you can still get to the relays underneath.
Have someone attempt to start the car and see if the salmon colored relay clicks. If yes, starter is bad. If no, could be anything else in the chain.
I don't see that you answered my question earlier:

The start relay is the higher, salmon colored, relay as mentioned. It should click when the key is turned as if to crank over the engine.

Yes, almost all BMW plastic parts are stamped with the type of plastic they are made of.
