Pros/Cons of pre vs post facelift?

Just wondering......whats the pros/cons of a pre vs post facelift car? I just bought a 00 750IL and it has the later headlights, tiptronic? tranny (still a 5HP30?) and Chrome package? (trim around speakers, console switches and door sills) and what actually ARE the differences in both? Opinions welcome...

Overlook the misprint for the V12 engine...it was the M73 engine (not M72). :)

I like the facelifted one for the looks and newer electronics, standard steptronic, easy to tune the DME for performance.
I like the pre-facelift for an easier cooling system, air cooled alternator
(98 750il pre-facelift is the only prefacelift tuneable DMEs. )

My 98 750il is a combination of a mix and match E38s to build me my own ultimate version.
