OK...So it's been like 147 years since I replaced one, and I always thought there was a bearing for an auto and one for a manual trans. RealOEM says the bearing ending in ...502 fits auto or manual AND bearing ending in ...532 fits auto or manual:eyecrazy.
In addition to that, try finding a decent (Febi) bearing. Tons of Uro, Hamburg Technic, MTC and other junk.:help
Thanks in advance
George

George. The one with the bent ears is for the auto tranny and straight for the manual. I had the one for the auto at my disposal (From Fernando) so I used some washers to make up the difference. See pic. I just didn't have time to get the correct one as we were assembling everything and couldn't wait another week .

So the ID is the same for both? I applaud your engineering prowess Jody. Good job. Now I know everything :beer

Yes, ID is the same. Just the mounting ears are different. One of these days I'll install the correct one. I'm not that motivated since the exhaust has to come down. But thanks!
By the way. I did add a second nut to cinch the last one from working loose.

I'm starting to hear a whine under the car and I see the possibly of one of these in my future! :(
So, just to be clear, what part number is the one with the straight ears for the manual tranny?

I also have a whine when cold mostly, first thing in the morning in colder months. Stops when car is warmed up after driving a while.
