Has anyone ever fit a 17" TSW wheel on a 6? Many of them have a 15-20mm offset, which seems like it should work out just fine. My only concern is that they have a reputation for being heavy, so I'm hoping to hear from someone who has direct experience with them.

They are heavy. They will bolt up but you will need hub-centric rings available at tire rack. Try to get the metal ones. I suggest OEM off a 5 or 7 series or BBS. In all honesty, do it right the first time.

S P, appreciate the input, but I'm looking to go in a little different direction with my car. Nothing against those wheels, they look good, but there's no "right" answer.

Cool, I like those. Did you notice any handling difference when you installed them?
BTW, I grew up about 45 minutes north of you in Litchfield. Do you fly out of Danbury?

Pete, When I bought the car, they had the stock TRX wheels on them. These are wider and of course handle better. In my opinion, 17 in wheels are just right. 16s offer a slightly taller tire so they may take bumps a little better. All in all 17 is a well balanced size. I'm not a fan of huge wheels anyway.
I worked for most of my aviation career out of White Plains HPN. Also Oxford Ct OXC and now work for Falcon Jet in engineering capacity in Teterboro NJ TEB.
