A couple of weeks ago I sold my 1999 E39 540iT and was perusing Craigslist and came across this 1995 E34 525iT Orientblau Metallic .
The PO had done the 5sp conversion, z3 shifter, racing dynamics front springs, style 32 8x17 with new Continental Extreme Contact DWS tires. And a bunch of parts!!
So a friend and I went to see it ............ and it followed me home :rolleyes .
The PO has a youtube of it after he did the conversion http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cLWWHJbSWoM
Here are some pictures My new steering wheel just came in :

Nice Touring!
RD bars, very nice .. I have mine currently set to full hard front and rear ... dam thing is like a kart to drive.
Also it will save you on brake material as you don't have to slow entering roundabouts or any corners really it's a giggle.

Hi Boom n Zoom Thanks! I got the RD bars used. What are the adjustments on the front bars..the 3 mounting holes..how do they affect the stiffness? I currently have the end link on the inside hole, and on the rear the 2 mounting holes also on the inside hole. So when you look at the links they are straight up and down.

OK of the three mounting holes on the front, the closer to the end of the bar the softer so I have mine on the closest hole to the bar Front and the same for the Rear.
This keeps the overall balance in check it will neither understeer or oversteer.
I might mention that I run 2 degrees -ve camber all round as well with the ability to go -ve 4.5 in the front (for track days) and I am about to get lifter blocks for the rear (about 1" or 25mm for the rear to reduce the negative camber for daily use) 'cause it's really scrubbing out the inner edges of the rears. This will have to do until I get Coilovers, but it will work fine and will just add to the track prep I need to do.
Going to find a pic from the last trackday that shows what (my oversite with not changing the front bar to full hard) was like ... body roll city!
EDIT: Found it
http://imagizer.imageshack.us/v2/280x200q90/856/runninghardoutofhungary.jpg (http://imageshack.com/f/nsrunninghardoutofhungaryj)
So this is with the rear full hard (Mounting point closest to the bar) and the Front full soft (mounting point furthest away from the bar) = Body Roll!
Mind you in my defense, this is an off camber uphill exit and I was going through at 120km/h indicated
and the result of this body roll on the R Comps
Righthand Front:http://imagizer.imageshack.us/v2/280x200q90/546/img0765s.jpg (http://imageshack.com/f/f6img0765sj)
Lefthand Front:http://imagizer.imageshack.us/v2/280x200q90/189/img0764r.jpg (http://imageshack.com/f/59img0764rj)
This track runs Clockwise and has one Lefthand turn (as in image) and two lefthand 'kinks.

OP it's simple leverage, the closer you set things the stiffer things are and the further apart the softer things are. Looks like you're making good progress!

Love the light silver interior. Much better Thant grey/grey one. I'll dye mine in the OEM silver when the summer comes.

Update: I replaced the brakes with 540i calipers and rotors. The 540i front rotors are thicker and the rear rotors are the vented type.
