Having a bit of trouble with it. This is how I do it, brake, clutch in, change gear down, blip gas pedal with heel/side of foot on brake, release clutch.
Somehow when I release the clutch the car still jerks a bit, and I have tried blipping the gas pedal to higher rpm's. Only way I can stop this, is to ride the clutch a bit to get it out smootly again.

Anyone doing this in a differant way? What's some good way's to practise heel-to-toe?

I do it more "ball of foot (on brake) / outside of foot (on throttle)" -- works for me.

Try blipping more than once.. Sometimes I have to tap it a few times to get it in the proper range...

Let the clutch out a little slower. You usually get a jerk if you let it out too abruptly...

Just start doing it around every turn you make.... you'll get good at it with more practice. The only reason the car will jerk is if you either have the RPM too high or too low for your car speed.

Try this for some practice... this how I learned. Find a corner that you want to take at a certain speed (say 40 mph). You'll want to downshift to 2nd gear for the corner, so find what engine speed your motor runs at for a slightly higher speed.... say 45 mph (for the MC its about 4,500rpm). Get on the brakes and when the car is at 45 mph rev the engine to 4,500 rpm and let out the clutch. Then you can finish the small amount of braking you have left to do and get into the corner.

Sorry if it doesn't make all that much sense when typing it out, but it makes sense in my head. :D

clutch should come up immediately after the throttle is blipped. otherwise you just wasted revs. you should try to catch it right at the peak of the blip. it should end up both quick and smooth.

I'm getting to the point where its like... I can't make the sound right now, cause this is the internet, you know? But its fast, yos!

I will try that, I think I am not giving it enough revs and then letting the clutch out to sharply.

i've always had trouble heel-toe'ing. i'm gonna look into a heel toe school at VIR after i go the driving school in August. need to get some skills under my belt so i dont look like a fool at auto-x's. :stickoutt

the way i do it is like mentioned above, blip the rpms and as soon as it hits its peak point i let the clutch out. most of the time my foot slips (need some better shoes) and it comes out real sloppy, but every once in a while i get a very nice smooth shift.

I have the same problem. I cant get it to be smooth. I use the side of my foot would it be better if i use the ball of my foot.
