not sure but you can do it the way i did mine if you want a wrinkle finish using VHT and some spot lights which i used since my oven is not currently connected. here is the process and result.

DEFKON that looks NICE!! how has it held up? might do this if things turn out too complicated...:thanks:

Pik Masta,

Mind if i ask how much was this? Should valve cover be cleaned and prepped(masking off where gasket goes) before taking it to Precision Powder Coating ? and by any chance it might not have to do with the powder coating but can the studs where the coils are bolted?

Any info would be greatly appreciated

Its held up fine so far, its all about a good prep to promote good adhesion

Some notes from my experience. Make sure you bake the cover a bit to expel some of the older oil. Also, if it needs to be blasted, use soda LIGHTLY, it is magnesium. Finally, check all the steel gasket surfaces for corrosion between the magnesium. It will cause them not to be true, and this whole proceed will be for not.

They prep everything for you and they have several years of experience with powder coating magnesium. I paid about 100$ for everything and it was about 4-5 day turnaround :)
