Hello everyone, I just wanted to introduce myself and my new to me e24 M6. It's an 88 that I bought from the original owner. I even have his original sales invoice showing what he paid in 1988 when he got it new. I flew from California to Florida to see it and met with the owner at a local BMW dealer to have a look over. Car has no rust except for the exhaust which looks like it's on its last days. Only 32k miles but paint is not great because it lived in the garage with his cats (he wasn't a car guy, more of a cat guy).
It's on it's way over to me in Cali in an enclosed trailer and hopefully will be here next week. I think their will be a bit of work to do (off the bat right rear window regulator, alternator bushings, driver's headrest motor, and eventually a full respray) and I plan to take my time and make it a concours level car (meaning I'll eventually probably re-trim the interior as well). Once it gets here it will join some other "motorsport" inspired cars that I own.
