I have a 1987 L6 with 95000 miles.
I have a rough idle, or miss at a stopped position.
I have changed the spark plugs to NGK's. Still the same miss.
I am suspecting the fuel injectors. Can these be cleaned or are new ones in order ?
What is the part number for them.
I am also going to look at the plug wires at night in the dark to see if there is any arcing anywhere.

Five O Motorsports has Lucas and Bosch replacements at a reasonable price. Fuel injectors are so infrequent, I'd just as soon replace them than have them serviced and potentially have to go back in there in 50,000 miles or less.

There's a whole gen III upgrade thing between single hole and 4-hole injectors. I've tried both, and on the big six, it just doesn't make a noticeable difference in mileage or power.

Pick up a spare set off ebay for next to nothing and send them to RC engineering (or other cleaning service) for refurbishment. That way your car isn't down for a while. they offer good service and a quick turnaround. Rough idle? Odds are it isn't your injectors. is your vacuum 100%? That should ALWAYS be the first thing to check before spending any $$ on other possibilities. I'm sure you know that, but it always needs to be said... Clean injectors are something you can check off the list, but.........

I had a friend who chased a rough idle a couple years ago. After weeks and wasted money I stopped by to help him try and figure this out. I secured the connector at the AFM and problem solved...To this day, we are still friends. :beer

Bosch 0280150201 or 0280150203 or 0280150714? Five O Motorsports has some cool guy ones. I think they are ending in 024?
