Is Real OEM a shop front for Bimmer parts, or just a FYI site to help identify parts/part numbers, etc?

I ask as everything seems to have a listed price, but I can't find any checkout facility.

Hmmm....

The latter. The prices you see are BMW stealership prices, ex vat.

Those prices are usually higher than actual cost but sometimes can be lower.

As I understood, the prices reflect the retail at the time the part was listed. In other words, prices for current models may be accurate, but E36s (for example) will not be.

The price for intake manifold gaskets was spot on, even converted from dollars to euro. Depends on the part I guess.

Yea it's a FYI site and I believe the prices were the original OEM prices. I usually google the Part number for various prices and copy and paste P/N on pelican parts.

It's a reference tool. You can also use www.penskeparts.com and get the same information, but the prices tend to be different. I've printed the best price that I've found and taken to to my local dealership and they will price-match.

Personally, I find that navigating penske parts is easier, but that's probably just me.

When you find a part number that you are interested in, you can paste it into the PART NUMBER SEARCH of the respective site and get a list of all of the models that use the same part. This can be useful for trips to the junk yard. Instead of looking for a '93 - '95 325, you might find that the part was also used in earlier cars, and in the 5 & 7 Series also. This lets you pick apart 20 different chassis instead of only 3, whatever.

If it was a front for a store there would be a one-click purchase option.
