Some items replaced during my ownership:
-VANOS Solenoid (Besian Systems improved unit), VANOS Sealing Plate O-rings (Besian Systems), Auto-Dimming Mirror, Throttle Actuator, Fuel Pump, Alternator, Starter, Ignition Coils, Spark Plugs, Battery
-Inspection 2 including valve adjustment at 60k mi (with help from Obioban- thanks!). Brakes flushed recently with ATE Super. Clutch line bled. Trans and cooling system recently flushed with OEM fluids. Oil changed at < 7k intervals always with TWS 10W-60 - just completed with state inspection.
Original Parts - all will be included: stock mirror shells, trunk, suspension (shocks + springs), tail lights
Full Disclosure:
-rear bumper was tapped at a Stop sign (low speed) while my shop (Bimmerworks in West Chester) was driving it around the block. The rear bumper and bumper support piece (wasn't even cracked) were replaced by the best body shop in the area. No other accidents.. just a fresh rear bumper. I'm told this repair is not showing up on carfax.
-driver seat has some discoloration/surface-only cracks.. no tears but say ~5/10
-front bumper/clip has typical rock chips
-occasionally get the E46 "cricket noise"-google it. simple/cheap fix i haven't done yet
-slight squeak noise from clutch pedal
-veryy slight flat spot on one of the rear wheels. does not need excessive weights to balance and I've NEVER felt a vibration at ANY speed
