Do you or anyone know if they would fit a 1988 M6 USA version without any modification to the deck, premium speaker pods, etc? Are they the original OEM leather and black color? Mine is the original black and leather and I'd want the texture to match correctly? What is the condition of the leather and rear support section?

I just did the swap in my 88 M6 which is also a us model. It was a super easy job that took about an hour total.

Doesn't the 88 have the nappa leather?

I am not sure if it's Nappa or not. Is there a way to identify? It's Silber. I guess I didn't really think about the leather matching. I was just trying to say that they fit with no mods and the work was beyond easy.

Mine is an 88 M6 but it's a Canadian example. Has same interior as euro with no rear AC, no leather dash, no air bag, no full leather headliner or door cards. It's kind if a hybrid USA drive train with euro interior. Makes it lighter than the US M6 :).

My rear seats look just like his do in the pics. As for grain match hard to tell. I wouldn't mind some better pictures. Just PM'd owner for some.

Interested in them as I like the look plus out my kids in the rear from time to time.

Should be the same as you have the std leather interior. Not really sure if you would notice much difference in leather grain anyway if the color matched for just the headrest.
