I have an 83 633csi. I let the car sit for some time and when I went to start using it again, the display on the control panel stays on when I shut the car off. None of the buttons do anything. I can't even reset the clock. If I pull the fuse, it goes off until the next time I use it. Does anyone know if it's the computer, control panel or a relay? Please help.:(

Without being insulting, is this outside or in bright light? The OBC stays active when the car is off, but the illumination/backlight is only on when the key is in the ignition. If you look at the OBC (and some factory radios) in the sun, you can see the time or date or whatever is displayed.

If it's not that, it's most likely the OBC relay, which is behind the dash and very expensive.

I've seen new ones on ebay for like 80 bucks?
