Now I really need to lower the front.

WOW Greg, i think the look amazing.
I want LM's for the touring.

The car looks sick Greg. How old are your kids? I'd like to see the passat wagon, it sound interesting.

I really fucking love the wheels. I'm not a huge fan of the 'darker wheels on a white car' thing though. I'm probably the exception rather than the rule. :)

This son is 16. His car is a 2001 Passat 1.8t with coilovers. We just put the S4 wheels on yesterday.

when I see a title like that, I kind of open the thread tentatively, wondering whether somebody got a really good sale on some chrome spinners or something.

nope.

Great car and sweet rims, but honestly, I don't think they blend together that well.

BTW, how much did you pick them up for?

Drool...

I am really not much of a big, flashy wheel type, but those are hands-down the finest looking BBS wheels out there. :buttrock

You will love the MX's. I sure do like mine!! They grip. Seem to wear very well so far (~8k miles of pretty aggressive driving and 3 autox's), but we'll see... I get to rotate mine, though. :eyecrazy:

Curious as to what other sizes they come in... Anything smaller? Also, what is the offset?

Thanks! Looks great!!

I knew they would be a fasion risk when I bought them. Everybody that's seen them in person has loved them. I bought them from the Tirerack. They came mounted and balanced to my front door in two days for $3600.

Thanks,

It seems like they have upped their selection for the e28 sice last time I looked...

Still, they don't list any specs on the wheel. :shifty

My son is 16 years old and a great student. Six months ago I asked him why his friend Chris didn't come around anymore. He told me Chris had started smoking weed and my son told him that he didn't hang out with people that do drugs. On Sunday I asked about his GF and why I hadn't seen her in a few days. She has gotten drunk a couple of times so he told her that he couldn't be her BF if she was going to drink. I saw her leaving crying after he told her that. I hope that this will make her think about her choices. It's because of desicions like these that he drives this. This pic is with the OZ's.

I just hope when my kids grow up, that they can make the same choices your son has. And if so, they will also be driving as sweet of a ride as I can give them. FYI, your car looks very good. I would suggest puting the same kit (pieces) as shragon has on his car. That would just be the ultimate! Again, sweet ride and your kids too!

Yea Greg, being 15 i know how hard it is to make the right choices about people I hang out with here. California is a different story because every single one of my friends out there is an adult with adult responsibilities. Living in a city like Boston, finding people that do make the right choices isn't always that easy. I've had good luck so far and have some great friends.

Its nice to be able to take your best friend AND your dad to the same car show and be able to hang out knowing your not hiding anything about people you hang out with. Its a great relief for you as a parent as well.

Tell your son he's invited to the meets.
If Rob and the others say they don't mind, I'm sure we can even make one exception and allow a V dub so that he can bring his car.

however, main goal is to see a bunch of 5ers together!

Nope, not yet, been busy with electrical side work.
Hmmm, maybe I will do it today, but I want to get your's and everybody elses opinion on which one, theres a choice of 3 tires, but it really comes down to 2 for me.
Since it's a daily driver, I'm leaning towards the "new" Proxes 4, but I'm liking the Proxes T1-s more and more.
If you guys have time, check them out at www.toyo.com and let me know your opinion.

Sorry i meant the 12th of July to the 5th of august.
I'll be in arroyo grande for the most part and might be in Monterey a few times.

I also don't know if i won't go visit some family in Bolinas where my uncle has a nice place. The stretch of rt1 north of SF is sick....

Ok gotcha, there is just a lot to be done, so I will probably start making things happen if you don't mind.
It seems that quite a few people will be making this trek and I wouldn't want to let them down.
You can ask anyone that knows me and I'm sure they will tell you how detail oriented I can be. :D

Olek,
You have suprised many adults here an the west coast with your maturity. You must make your parents proud often.

My boys have been to many of our meets. Maybe my 19 yr old could bring his Dub also. VR6. Euro fenders, grille, shrick cams, cf hood.........

Thanks for the compliments Greg. Unfortunatlly my parents arent always pleased with me for unknown reasons :dunno but thats a different story.

As far as the vdubs go it would be nice if they could come out as long as its ok with everyone else. I think two exceptions car definitely be made.

Once again thanks for the compliments.

Those wheels look hot on your car, but honestly they stand out a little too much on the car as it is now. IMO it looks like you are in the middle of modding your car or kinda half a$$ed it. They just draw so much attention, i ask myself "what happened to the rest the car?"
About your son, I am impressed. Really. I am 16 and your son probably wouldn't even talk to me seeing how he handled his g/f. :devillook

Greg
Greg, The A/C came out great, though I did a lot of stuff to make it perfect. New condenser, then did radiator as old one was still original(wow). Had to change some screens as the airflow wasn't strong on drivers side. Did insp 2 on the car valve adj. and some other misc BS. Anyway I spent a TRUCKLOAD of money. There goes that 1st class trip around the world...but the car is great. :buttrock
