AUX Imput 2006 E46. HELP!!

Hey guys.

My second post to this forum, I stopped by Car Toys to get a quote on AUX imput for my E46 which I purchased a few days ago, and they quoted me $850.00!!! They said something I did not understand about how the wires were different in this year compared to the 05 and earlier models. They said it would be less than half the cost if it was an 05. I never have heard of anybody bring this up. Is this true, or do they have no idea what they are talking about?

If so, it's literally a $30 part. It plugs right in to the back of your radio. Should take no more than an hour to complete.

I've never heard anything about 2006 radios being any different than previous years. Although there was a change in 03ish that made the E46 radios compatible with this part I linked above.
