I just picked up a 1989 635csi 5 speed. And I'm currently looking for a few key parts if any one happens to have them laying around.

-- Check control panel "glass" or whole assembly.
-- HVAC CONTROL panel -- mines completely busted from PO can't repair it.
-- Lower kick panel -- in any color.
-- lower kick panel metal mountain bracket.
-- That plastic cover on the right hand side of the cluster between the cluster and HVAC panel.
-- Rear windshield glass.

When you say HVAC control panel do you need the "slider assembly" or the front panel? Does your slider setup have 3 boden cables or 2 and an elec plug on the center? I have both.

I know for a fact one of them has a eletrical plug behind it and the other 2 are boden cables.

Is the slider with the electrical plug salvageable? I spent quite a while repairing mine (the plastic arm that moves the potentiometer was broken). The part is rare since it was only used toward the end of production. I think everything else is interchangeable with earlier cars, and the sliders just unscrew from the panel.

The slider with the plug is possibly repairable I haven't really dug deep into it. I know that the top and bottom slider the flange the wire connects to is cracked and broken off.

PO attempted to glue the nobs back on with some sort of adhesive that literally ate away at the plastic components on the front face it looks awful.

In addtion I went to a local tint shop today to have the purpled tint pulled and have fresh tint applyed. I found out PO drilled a hole threw the rear glass to install a CB antenna at some point in its life. So, I'm now looking for a rear glass. As our parts car rear glass already has a home slated for the black 89.
