I was wondering if anyone knows or has heard of BBS ra518 et 40, 8.5 wide(as best as I can make out)? Long story short, they came on my car, had powder coated and the small lettering is hard to make out. Rims are stamped BBS Germany in multiple spots. As I research them the best info seems to be in German or some other foreign language beyond my comprehension. I would appreciate any help or info.

What else do you want to know? You have the size, offset, and model number... not sure what else you could need.

As long as the model number is RA518, your sizes are correct... 17x8.5 et40. They could be paired with RA519 for a 8.5/9.5 staggered setup. They're not terribly rare or valuable/desirable. Figure they're worth around $500-600. I can't find exact weight, but being a lower-cost BBS option, I would estimate around 20 lbs.
