Where to Buy Chrome Exhaust Tips

OK, so I have a new exhaust system ordered from BMW but the chrome tips for the rear muffler tailpipes are NLA. I measured the tips on my current exhaust and they appear to be about 7.5" long and have an ID of about 50mm. They appear to be pressed onto the pipes and I cannot get them to budge plus one of them is a bit scraped so I would like to get a new set that is as close to identical as I can.

Anyone have any ideas or sources? I have done a Google search and have not been able to find anything other than some generic 9" extensions that have an ID of 2". They bolt on and might work. Thanks in advance for any help.

All are listed as NLA from BMW.

82119413969 is the part for your exhaust. It crosses to the Ansa unit Autohaus has. Order them, if they are wrong return them. Or, search eBay for something. At $16 a pair, throw the dice.

Yes, according to realoem, with my 03/85 build, it should take this part:

I will wait until the parts arrive before I purchase the tips. Do I measure the OD of the tailpipes to determine which tip I need. The ones on my car now are about 6.75" long and I measure the ID at the tip at around 50 mm but the ends appear to be flared out a bit. The other end might be smaller. The new rear muffler might well be different from what is on my car now.

If you have what I need in stock that would be great. I'll be in touch. Will probably be several weeks as the exhaust components are coming from Germany. Thanks.

The early 85 are actually easier to find and actually cross to some US models.

Measure the OD of the muffler exit pipe as close to the rear exit as possible.

Ok if I can get the tips off. They are very securely attached but once the old muffler is off the car I'll have the shop try to remove them. One is damaged that's why I want to get new ones.
