I've been running 225/35/18 up Front and 235/35/18 on the Rear with 18x9.5 et35 wheels with a stock suspension for a few months. No Issues. Could I run 225/45/18's on the rear without rubbing? I have done tons of searching and all the Yes and No answers are from people with rolled fenders and custom suspensions.
Thanks:)

No. Way too tall of a tire. 225/40r18 is your best bet.
edit:
You might be better off running the 225/35r18 all around that way you can rotate the tires front to rear and prolong the life. Plus your car should handle a little better. Both 225/35r18 and 225/40r18 are within 3% overall diameter of the car's stock sized tires so you're fine either way. 225/35 are a little too small, and 225/40 are a little too big.

A better size would be 225/40R18 front and 245/35R18 rear. The 235/35R18 would work but there just are not many options for tires.
If I can help let me know.

I just ordered 225/40/18s on my 8.5 wheel and have no problems in the rear. Then again, you have another inch on the wheel.

A family member of a friend of mine passed away months back and left behind a house and garage full of stuff. His family is preparing to have a big estate sale and in the garage were a couple 225/45/18's and a couple 215/35/18's nearly new(95%+ tread) stored in Les Schwab bags. My friend asked me if I might interested in them for cheap before they tried selling them or whatever. I was hoping the 45's would fit the rear and I could hold onto them till I needed a couple. They were Michelin somethings. Ended up passing since the consensus is they would be too tall. Thanks, Everyone for your help :).

Even a good deal is not good all the time. The 225/45R18 would have been too tall for the 3 Series.
