Ive been looking around but I couldn't find really anything, I was wondering if you guys had and how what's the cheapest way (besides cutting the springs) to lower my car? thanks

Just look for a used set if you don't want to cut.Lots of luck as there are not a lot floating around for an E12 chassis car,let alone new ones. The new ones on Ebay are virtualy not there and the sellers will want pmnt or a deposit until they come in...which could be 6-8 months
+1 on what Bert said as he's pretty much the "go to" guy on all things E12 based. Keep his name in mind since he seems to be able to come up with the rarest of bits and puts them up for sale here!

Sandbags. Lots of them.

The E3 springs fit the E12 chassis. The E9 front springs do but the E9 does not use rear coilovers so rear will not transfer across to the E12 chassis.

Your struts would bottom out...Not good :beer

One downside is, it's irreversible. If you cut too much, you're stuck. Other downsides are unpredictable harshness. That said, if you don't cut much, your struts will NOT likely bottom out.

Gotta say, for the gamble you are taking to get it right and the time you put into this, don't you think just buying a set of springs with a known, predictable drop, would be most time effective? You are basically going to do an iteration technique to get it right, may take two to three rounds, some decent time needed.
