This is a winter car, through and through, and a rare one at that. Selling because I’m focusing time & $$ on a track car build – most likely E36.
This isn’t a show car, and in the pics below you’ll see that. If you’re looking at this car, you know what you’re looking for: an absolute tank in the snow. I’ve tried on numerous occasions to get this car stuck in a foot of fresh powder and have never succeeded – it rips through everything. The exterior has some rust spots, a few fairly significant, but overall the car looks decent from 20’ away. Car has never been smoked in.

The good:
Interior is in pretty great shape aside from a few quirks noted in “the bad” section below
Hakkapeliitta R tires with <5k miles –good alignment on car and balanced on the wheel, almost no wear. Stick like glue in the snow. Mounted on OEM BBS basketweaves.
Nearly all suspension components are new, replaced with OEM parts (unless otherwise noted)
Shocks, front & rear (Bilstein HD)
Shock tower mounts (front OEM, rear TMS w/ lifetime warranty)
Front control arms & bushings
Front swaybar endlinks
Tie rods
New front wheel bearings & dust shields
New brakes
OEM pads & rotors on all 4 corners
New ebrake pads
Recent Interstate MTP-92 battery
Fuel injectors ultrasonically cleaned last year
Fuel filter replaced last year
Comes with Thule roof bars – ready to slap on your ski/snowboard rack
Redline fluid in front & rear diffs, transmission
Heated seats work!
Sunroof fully functional, you know, for those sunny 40 degree winter days
Ski sock option – I’ve used a number of times, 2-3 pairs of skis fit nicely though the back seats
Transmission shifts smoothly, clutch engages low & strong
The bad:
This is a winter tank, so comes with the corresponding rust. A few spots noted below:
Right rear door has major rust in 2 spots, if keeping this car I would look for an E30 junkyard replacement
Spot on rear bumper where tow hook is mounted has rusted
Front passenger door lock has a spot of rust around the lock cylinder – only the driver’s side & trunk locks work
No A/C
Original Freon system – needs at least an A/C belt. Could also need a recharge, probably needs some leaks to be addressed. Would have looked into this further but primarily drove in the winter, so wasn’t a big deal.
Blower works on settings 3 & 4, intermittently on 2, not on 1.
Wipers occasionally “lag” on slow setting
Hard to describe, easier to show in person. Usually not an issue, and never an issue on high.
Recent coolant leak
Haven’t fully diagnosed yet, only loses a couple cups every couple weeks. Only runs to the bottom of the expansion tank.
Cruise control doesn’t work
Gas tank *very* slow leak when completely full. 1-2 gallons from full eliminates the leak. I just don’t fill it/top it off.
Brake lining light intermittently comes on. Just needs a new sensor, never got around to installing. Pads are brand new so not really an issue for a couple 10’s of thousands of miles.
The extras:
Also including 4 Sport Edition 16” wheels with fairly worn all-seasons – perfect if you want to drive year round without ruining your Hakkapeliittas
Thule roof bars
A few spare oil filters
