Every time I come to this SUB FORUM sponsored by Tire Rack I never ever get answers to the most basic simple questions. One time I would really appreciate a SUGGESTION - OPINION - SOME ADVICE - and at last resort an actual ---------------- R E S P O N S E ----------------- Wow not too much to ask. OR no one on this SUB FORUM knows anything about wheels and tires. If that is so, my bad if not give a freaking answer once in a while. Again 2009 328i Base. Want 18 X 8.5 front 18 X 9 or 9.5 rear mesh style black wheels with a good NOT GREAT all weather tire set up. Are VMR wheels a good wheel ? Are Avante Garde wheels a good ? decent ? poor ? or equal to the VMR wheels ? Is Enkei a fair - bad - terrible - or don't buy it wheel ? Recommend an all weather tire. The best help has been from APEX ----BUT--- Tire rack the sponsor of this non answer sub forum does not sell APEX wheels. Please yell at me alll you want - flame the crap out of me - but at least put your fing opinions on wheels black for a 328i base in 18 x 8.5 and 18 x 9 or 9.5 on here as an answer or continue reading with no knowledge and no ability to post an answer - Now I feel better !!!!!!!!!!

- - - Updated - - -

But ask a question about a center cap or a wheel spacer or lug nuts and ----------------watch out 50 replies.

Boo Hoo cry baby, VMR are the best, however if your looking for confirmation from some one on a forum, you more than likely can't afford them. Maybe you should look at POR wheels, those are gonna be more your style, they build condensation on them and they resemble someone crying like you are in this thread.

I am a big fan of Apex. Run them on my 99 and 08 M3s. Strong and light and paint holds up well.

Dude no one has an answer to what a good wheel is because it's subjective. Furthermore you have not defined your definition of the word "good". Does good mean lightweight, heavy, forged, 1 piece, 3 piece, lip, concave, etc.... You need to figure out what YOU LIKE, based off of YOUR PREFERENCES, not based on the opinions of anonymous people posting in a forum. I personally am not a big fan of VMR or Avant Garde. Enkei makes some of the best cast wheels on the market period, especially with their MAT process. If you have the budget get a nice forged wheel, and not the "rotary forged" BS from forgestar, but real ones like BBS/volk/ssr.

I just installed apex racing on my 2011 e92 6mt and I love them. Perfect blend of quality, aesthetics, and price.

Buying a base 09 328i sedan. Would like to buy a set of mesh style black wheels 18 x 8.5 front - 18 x 9 or 9.5 rears. All suggestions appreciated. Car is for my son , he will only have it for a year or so. Would like to spend max 1100.00.

Honestly the answer you are looking for is very opinion oriented. Every single person is going to have a different opinion. My suggestion would be some style 95s on the e90 sedans. I think that looks great. They are 19" though. Another thing is you are making it sound like your budget of $1100 is including wheels AND tires. If so that's upsetting. Don't be cheap and buy 600 dollar wheels. You should be spending at least 1,000 on the wheels alone if you want anything near decent quality. VMR seem to be a good choice for a budget setup. Certainly not the best at all. What you are going to be getting is a cast wheel.

Is the car stock ride height?

I like the Breyton Race GTS but like others have said wheels are all personal.
Below is a link to all the wheels we carry. BBS obviously makes a ver good mesh wheel. Sorry I did not get back to you quicker. If you ever have any questions just give me a shout.
