So i stopped off today to get something to eat on the way home from work. I guess that was the first mistake. Turning out of the driveway at the drive through i stepped on the pedal and the car made a big hesitation. Engine fail safe. I cruised to the next parking lot The DSC light also came on. When i pulled over the idle seemed ok. I pulled out the code reader wrote down the codes reset the computer. then turned off the car. Turned it back on the DSC light was off. That light has never came on before. Once i get home i find.

P1638 160 Throttle Valve Position Control Throttle Stuck Temporarily

P1639 161 Throttle Valve Position Control Throttle Stuck Permanently

Now i had the same problem a few years ago. with a few more codes that led to a broken vacuum line the boots to the throttle body and a good cleaning and it was good to go. I went out and bought a new air filter and the mass air flow CRC spray cleaner. I changed the filter just need the time to take off the boots and spray down the throttle body again and check the boots.

My question. seems a lot of people end up changing the throttle body. However i cant find anything on how to change it. Not sure about the linkage and all has anyone ever done it. Is this what i should just look at doing. I found one at pelican parts for $280. Any advice on this would be appreciated i tried to do a search but cant find a write up on it at all.
