I'm looking to buy a set of staggered 18" wheels for my 99' M3 and I like the deep lip look. I'm unsure of the lowest offset I can run without have seriously stretched tires or rubbing issues. The more research i do the more confused i become. My fenders are rolled front and rear and I run Eibach springs adjustable Koni's. What ET could i run in an 18x8.5 front and 18x9.5 rear? I would even consider run 8" front and 9" rears.

What do you consider a crazy stretch? Crazy is very subjective.

If it were me and I was running a 8.5"F/9.5"R I wouldn't run an offset lower than et16 front, et29 rear.

If I were running 8"F/9"R I wouldn't run an offset lower than et10 front, et23 rear.

All I did to get these numbers was match where your wheel would sit as if I were running 17x8 et20 style 5s with 10mm spacers all around. I have 17x8 et20 style 5s on my car with 215/40r17 and I'm really low. I think I could fit maybe a 5-10mm spacer. Running a 205/40r17 would be a decent stretch size and I could probably run the 10mm spacer. I am rolled and slightly pulled all around with fender liners in the front removed. I think on stock body (no flares) runnning below this would be very hard to pull off without running a crazy stretch or lots of negative camber without rubbing all the time.

I've never done it but I would think stretching a 205/40 on 8.5" or a 215/35 on 9.5" is serious. I'd probably go for a 225/40 on 8.5" or 235/35 on 9.5"?

215/35r17 on a 9.5"..............yeah don't do that.
