176k 540i/6.

I've had the timing chain guides done about 1k ago. Oil was done then as well.
Alternator and radiator was about 500mi ago.

I got a check engine for cylinder 2 misfire - fuel cutoff not long ago that I cleared. I get minimal shakes on cold starts and the flashing check engine soon when WOT, so I'm going to do some more maintenance.

I'm going to clean MAF, change plugs, changes fuel filter, and change air filter.

...anything I'm forgetting / overlooking?
I haven't tried swapping plugs to chase misfires because I haven't gotten the CEL again. Also not changing coil or boot unless plugs don't fix.

Anything else I should do while in there?
And thanks for the input...

Valve cover gaskets in they are leaking into spark plug wells.

Yeah, I'd do that if I see signs when I do the plugs. I'm just trying to think of things to put in my shopping cart for this go around. I am also replacing the trunk roundel and trunk lid interior light assembly, but that's just odds-n-ends.
I was just trying to make sure I wasn't missing anything for purchasing for this pass...

...thanks again...

I would suggest checking the fuel pump pressure and the (brown wire grouping of) "engine grounds" on both sides of the engine (near the hood edges).

Meaning just checking for and cleaning of oxidation on the contacts at the grounds?

Both #10 and #11 gasket in the following diagram

Also the round throttle body gasket.

Valve cover gaskets should be new from the timing guide job right? I'd be shocked if they were leaking already.

Intake gaskets notorious for leaking there (#10 / #11)?

Last time I replace them, they felt like plastic, not rubber. I'm sure they are no longer provide the expected sealant. They are cheap (about $25 for all 3 of them from the dealer) and easy to replace. I notice better cold idle too.
There's a thread about how they help smoothing cold idle.
Found it http://forums.bimmerforums.com/forum/showthread.php?1775480-Rough-idle-20-Intake-manifold-leak-fix-M62-M62TU&highlight=M62+gasket
