Hi,

I am new to this site so if this thread is posted in the wrong place , my bad .

So here is what I would like to know . Can you put studded winter run flat tires on a 2013 x3 35i - F25 ? According to the dealership in St Johns Newfoundland you will void your warranty ? so I called BMW canada and they said if its not an oem product you can not use it . could any one shed some light on this for me please . I live in a place where studded tires are the only way to go do to the large amount of snow and ice we get

Regards

i really doubt you will need studded tires. On my 08 x3 we have a set of LM-60's and the thing is a tank in all conditions in new England.

I wish that was the case but not so, Studded tires are legal to use in the province of Newfoundland Canada . In fact there are highly encouraged by the R.C.M.P do to the harsh winter conditions we get here.

If you have the 18" I do have the Pirelli Winter Carving Edge in stock that is studdable. I will tell you that if it were me I would use the Blizzak WS70. In our testing they perofrmed better even on the ice.
If I can help let me know.

My tire are currently 245/45/19" run flats , but will be changing to an 18" for winter - which means new rims and valve sensors, Studded is the only way to move with control where I live, But I am still looking to know if anybody is using studded tires on there bmw and if they are having any technical issues caused by vibration from the studs ?

There is no problems with the studded tires. BMW can not tell you if they are not OE you can not use them. I still would look at the Blizzak though. I have driven them on my BMW's for years in an area that gets 80" to 90" of snow per year and have not had a problem.
If I can help let me know.
