Please I need help ASAP! I have a 2000 540i. My upper radiator hose continues to pop off not on the side of the radiator I'm not sure what to call it. The first time it happened I was trying to get I font of someone on the highway and lots of steam started coming from the engine and I could smell the antifreeze. I pulled over and found that the hose was off no rip or anything. I fixed it with a new clamp and filled the radiator and went on. Less than 4 miles down the road it happened again. I don't know what to do. It's bad cause I have to drive this car and I have now gone through this process 4 times. I know that's not good so Ive decided not to drive it until I know it's nothing major and I don't want to overheat the engine and coolant is somewhat expensive. Also the last time this happened the heater was on and cold air was coming out even though the engine was at normal operating temperature. That makes me think the thermostat might be bad and building up pressure. If anyone has had this happen please fill me in on what else to look for. I don't want to buy new hoses because many are new or are in good shape. I'm not trying to buy a thermostat if it could be something else small. Thanks for your help
