So I have a 98 m3 coupe. My buddy has 97 328i (sedan). The suspensionsetup I had on my car was stock everything with HR Sport springs. Gave it anice drop for awhile but got over it and now I have coilovers. So here is thequestion… what we need to be able to fit my hr sports onto my buddies 328i? I assumehe’ll need some other stuff off my m3 to fit them right? Top hats to fit thefronts on? Someone shed some light for me. Thanks.

I believe the spring diameter of the m3 is different from the 328, so ontop of top hats he may need m3 spring seats(or shocks). Some will correct me if I'm wrong

I believe you would need to change the strut, springs and strut mount.

If you have stock everything then just swap everything over to his car because coilovers and stock dampers don't work with each other. In the rear you'll need to swap the spring pads plus springs. In the front everything from the strut mount to spring perch, to strut. As for endlinks you can keep them on your car unless the coilovers you have, are custom length.
What coilovers do you have? The only ones I would get are the higher priced quality sets like AST, TCK, GC, Moton, JRZ, and maybe Pss9. There are other higher priced sets too.
I've got a set of AST 4200 double adjustables if anyone is interested along with vorshlag rear ride height adjusters. PM or email me.
