Why? I see one of my posts has also been deleted. What's the beef and why have I been censored? What did I miss?
I see one member earned a time out, why?
I see nothing in the thread that merits censorship or closure.
This is supposed to be a discussion board. Everybody has an opinion.
The OP asked a question with predictable replies, so what, it's boring and descended into argument and off topic. There were also some helpful answers the OP acknowledged.

This. Ross - if you have questions about moderation, direct them via PM.
Also, I'd direct your attention to the "Rules of the Road" post at the top.
But since we're doing things in public for the moment, I deleted your post because it was off-topic to the thread and contributing to the developing trainwreck that was that thread. I didn't delete any answers that were relevant to the OP.
Lastly, I'm not going to get into the habit of articulating the reasons for infractions or defending my decisions. I've started a "Rules of the Road" thread that is a sticky at the top of this subforum where you're free to ask for clarification of the rules. It is not intended as a place to gripe about them. If you have concerns or issues, the avenue for that is PM. It isn't a place to report members or posts, either (there's a button for that).
