535i help plz!!!

Ok, so I know that this is kind of a noob question, but, I recently purchased a 1992 535i. It idles very rough and sometimes while at highway speed will bog and lose power for a second. I tried looking into it and noticed that the breather hose is missing. I ordered a new one but not sure how to connect everything and where it all hooks up too. I assume from looking at it that it would come from the crank case and connect to the valve cover but thats about it. Ive not had a lot of experience with these cars but I do know that they do not have a PCV valve. Im not sure that this is entirely my issue but im sure the vacuum leak it is causing is not helping. If anyone could help me with this I would be very greatful. Thanks

You're a little vague, you need to get your post count up and post pictures of what you're talking about. There are remarkably few hoses on an m30, so figuring it out should be easy.

PCV- what brands are you familiar with DIY on?
