Thanks guys, been a longtime member of BF (had an E34 as my DD) but I am back because I'm interested in a 2008 S Clubman with 60k on the clock.

The buyer's guide that stickied seems to predate this model so I wanted to see if there was a good PPI or buyer's guide file for me to reference when checking out the car. I got to look at it today but will be test-driving it tomorrow.

Aside from a comprehensive document, are there any specific things I should look out for with this year/model?

I'm also interested in hearing comments on this topic.
Currently looking at a 2010 Clubman S, loaded with 30k miles on it.

I realize this post is probably too late to be of use to the OP, but I had a 2008 MCS Clubman for three-plus years and 36k miles and had exactly zero issues with it. Well, once the battery died and I needed a jump start, but I don't think I can blame that on the car.

I traded that in for a 2012 MCS Coupe and in nearing 3 years (30k), I have had only one minor issue--that the chrome on the outer driver's side door handle started to delaminate. That was fixed gratis when I brought the car in for scheduled maintenance.

All things considered, I've been very happy with the reliability of the second generation MINIs.
