:cool: 'Sup guys, noobie here. I have a '99 540iT w/Step. I drove using the Step and when I was slowing down my gear went down from 5 to 4. But as I decrease my speed to a total hault my gear wouldn't go down the gear w/out me down shifting. Has anyone encountered this?

My car down shifts itself all the way to 2nd gear when it slows down, but does not down shift to 1st for some reason...this may be a safety feature :dunno

All BMW, Audi and Merc autos do that. They all start in 2nd gear unless you floor it past the kick-down switch. Saves gas around town.
