Hi
I have a 2008 325i sedan E90. The wheels are staggered and I currently have the standard 17' on the vehicle. I was looking to upgrade to the 335i 19' rims and got a quote which has 235/35/19 and 265/35/19. Will putting these wheels and rims on raise the height of my car at all?
Any help would be very much appreciated!
Thanks!

Just don't put tires on it, you will be okay. I am not a fan of anything more than say a 18. A lot of the big wheels look good, but you will never see them until you are out of the car. I wish I had just waited for a 5 series with the sport wheels that came with the car. One of the best looking wheels imho and those are 17s. A boss of mine put 19s on his E39 and had rubbing issues with lowered suspension. 19s on a 3, hmmmm.
That being said, you have to worry about the width and height of the tires, not the wheels. The height of the tire is based on the width times the aspect ratio. You can then convert to inches. You will want to keep it as close to factory as possible. So if you go from a 225/50/17, you will want to have something like a 225/35/19 to make up for the extra two inches that you have taken out of the rubber.

The short answer to your question is: no.
What you're doing when you go from a 17-inch wheel to a 19-inch wheel is increasing the diameter of the wheel while decreasing the height of the sidewall of the tire at the same time. So your 19-in tires will have one less inch of rubber between the wheel and the road. The overall diameter of the wheel/tire combo remains about the same.
There's a formula for figuring out the overall diameter of a tire, given its size.
Take your 235/35/19 ...
Width in millimeters (235) divided by 25.4 (converting it to inches), multiplied by .35 (the aspect ratio, or height of the sidewall) then multiplied by 2 (because there's a sidewall on the top and bottom of the rim) and then add the wheel diameter (19). That gives you the overall diameter of a tire in inches.
fronts : 235 / 25.4 * .35 * 2 + 19 = 25.5 inches overall diameter
rears : 265 / 25.4 * .35 * 2 + 19 = 26.3 inches
Your quote for 19-inch tires should have included 265/ 30 / 19s to go with the 235/35/19 fronts.
265 / 25.4 * .30 * 2 + 19 = 25.3 inches.
