I'm at work looking at this kit; http://store.uucmotorwerks.com/super-performance-brake-kit---wilwood-superlite-325mm-rotor-four-wheel-94-99-e36-m3-96-01-mz3-p475.aspx

My question- will E46 M3 rotors fit with 17" wheels?

Yep, I have 325x28 up front on 6 piston and my style 68s cleared them when I had them installed

The more complicated answer is "Yes, but...".

17" is fine but what is much more important is the space behind the spokes, the free area for the larger caliper. For example, an original BMW M3 17" wheel (any of the styles) hugs the original calipers fairly close. The Wilwood calipers are thicker as they are a 4-piston design, so you need more space.

Typically, the brands of wheels that are designed for real motorsport use such as BBS, D-Force, Kosei, etc., are designed with BBKs in mind and will give you the clearance you need.

Rob- That was the exact answer I needed. I have TSW Panorama's (17x9 +40, 18lbs, $100/wheel), and there's a ton of clearance between the spokes and the caliper. I was worried mostly about the outside diameter.

Awesome! I have a backup set of M68s (4 rears), and it sounds like I'll be able to use both sets with my wheels with those brakes.

Do you have a picture of the two-piece rotor for the front? Just curious to see the difference. I have the actual kits from Wilwood so I am using their rotors. Their two piece rotors are really nice.

Chris.

This is the kit that Wilwood makes using a 6-piston caliper and their own rotor/hat:

Rob-

Is it possible to order only the calipers and brackets? I have a set of the correct E46 M rotors, and I have a specific pad I want to pick up. (Porterfield is just down the street from my office).

Thanks in advance!

I believe these are the rotors you're talking about:
