what to look for in an M5

I am currently looking for a BMW to buy in the next year or so and I'm basically just looking for best bang for my buck. I found a 91 M5 for a decent price, but what should I be looking for specific to this model? What type of performance should I expect?

Do a search for M5 purchase, buying M5, and a few other titles. Your bound to find something just like gop-dogg said. This question has been asked for e28, e34, and e39 M5's numerous times over the past month and a half.
